Most container pools start with a shipping container and try to make steel hold water — a vinyl liner dropped in, or epoxy sprayed onto the walls. Both work on day one. Both are a coating standing between water and steel, and water is patient. When a liner tears or a coating fails, you aren’t repairing a pool. You’re repairing a rusting container full of water.

We build it the other way around.

We build a fiberglass pool shell — the same material used in premium inground pools for fifty years — and set it inside a Corten steel container finished with a marine-grade coating. The container is the structure and the exterior. The fiberglass is the pool. Two separate things, and water never touches steel.

No liner to replace. No coating to fail. Nothing to rust.

Insulated, which almost none of them are

Most container pools are uninsulated. Thin steel, water on one side, outside air on the other. The heater fights the weather every night. Every ContainUR pool has closed-cell ceramic insulation on all interior walls. It holds heat, so your heater runs less and your pool is swimmable earlier in spring and later into fall.

Every pool is built, plumbed, wired, and water-tested at our facility in North Las Vegas. You’re welcome to come watch yours get built. It doesn’t get assembled in your backyard by whoever was available that week. See how we build them.

What to compare before you buy

Container pools look similar in photos — see ours in real backyards. They aren’t.

Ask what’s holding the water. If the answer is a vinyl liner or a coating sprayed onto the container, that’s a surface standing between water and steel, and it has a lifespan. Ask what happens when it fails, who pays for it, and how long the warranty actually runs.

Ours is a fiberglass shell. Nothing to reline, nothing to recoat.

And not all fiberglass is built the same. Thickness, layup, and what’s underneath it all vary, and none of it shows in a photo. Ask how the shell is built, not just what it’s called.

Then look at how the price is quoted. We don’t advertise a low number and build it back up with options you were always going to need. Ours is $45,000, and that’s the pool — pump, filtration, skimmer, heater, sanitation, and ColorLogic LED lighting already in it. All the electrical is run for a simple connection. The plumbing is finished, with service valves where your tech will want them. It leaves our floor water-tested and ready to run.

Compare that against a starting price, then add everything back. The gap usually closes. Often it reverses.

Compare the same size, too. An 8×20 against an 8×20, not a smaller unit’s starting price against a full one.

Honestly, there isn’t a true apples-to-apples comparison in this market. Nobody else builds it the way we do. What we can tell you is exactly what’s in ours and what it costs, and you can hold anyone else’s answer up against that.

What else to budget for

The $45,000 is the pool, delivered ready to run. A few things sit outside that number, and they depend on where you live and what your yard looks like. We’d rather tell you now than at quote.

A note on amperage. Your heater sets your electrical load. Gas or propane can run on as little as 30 amps; electric can need up to 80. That is a real difference in wire, breaker, and possibly panel capacity — so decide your heater early and tell your electrician before they quote.

Three calls that tell you your real number

• A local crane or forklift operator. Give them your address, tell them you’re placing a 20-foot container weighing 5,500 pounds in the backyard, and describe your access.
• A concrete or site contractor. Ask what it costs to build a level base rated for 37,000 pounds — slab, gravel, or piers, whatever fits your yard.
• A licensed electrician. Ask what it costs to run 220/240V from your panel to the back of the yard — and tell them whether you’re going gas or electric heat, since that sets your amperage.

Make those three calls and you’ll know your all-in before you ever talk to us. We’ll handle the freight quote.

We won’t pretend to know what a crane costs in your city. Anyone who gives you that number without seeing your yard is guessing.

• 1. Tell us about your space. Where it’s going, how you’d get it back there, what you’re hoping for.
• 2. Discovery call. We confirm it actually fits before anyone talks money.
• 3. Quote review. Everyone who’s deciding gets on the call together. You leave with a firm number including freight.
• 4. Contract and deposit. We walk the agreement through with you — what’s included, timeline, payment schedule. Your deposit reserves your build slot.
• 5. Build. 6–8 weeks. 12–13 with a window. You’re welcome to come see it in progress.
• 6. Delivery. We coordinate freight to your address.
• 7. Swim.

What we don’t do

We’d rather you know now.

• We don’t install. We manufacture and deliver. Your local operator sets it, your local electrician connects it.
• We don’t pull permits. But we make the process easy and walk you through the whole thing. We provide the engineered plans you or your contractor submits.
• We don’t build an integrated spa.
• We build one size. Eight by twenty. If you need bigger, we’re not your builder — and we’ll tell you on the first call instead of the fifth.

Financing

Most of our buyers finance. Roughly $371/month with $45,000 financed at 7.99% APR over 20 years.

We work with two lenders who handle pool and home improvement financing nationwide. They set the terms and handle the application — we just make the introduction.

How deep is it?

4’6″ to 4’9″.

What are the dimensions?

The container is 20′ × 8′. The swim area is 19′ × 7’2¾”.

How much does it weigh?

5,500 lbs empty. About 37,000 lbs filled.

Do I need a crane?

Not always. A crane is preferred, but a 6,000 lb forklift can place it if you have the access. It depends on your yard.

How much water does it hold?

3,800 gallons.

Do I need a permit?

Almost always. Requirements vary by jurisdiction. We provide unstamped engineered plans and can connect you with our engineering team if stamped drawings are required.

What amperage do I need?

Depends on your heater — as little as 30 amps with gas or propane, up to 80 amps with electric.

Who installs it?

A local crane or forklift operator sets it, and a local electrician connects power. If you’d rather not coordinate multiple contractors for the base and the power, work with a landscaper rather than a pool company. Most pool companies won’t touch these — they build pools in the ground, and a finished pool arriving on a truck doesn’t fit how they work. Landscapers get it immediately. They’re used to setting things in a yard, and they can usually handle the base and bring in the electrician. This isn’t a pool build. There’s nothing to excavate or plumb from scratch.

How is it delivered?

By truck, to your address, anywhere in the continental US.

Can I move it later?

Yes. Disconnect it, lift it, take it with you.

How long does it take?

6–8 weeks. 12–13 with a window.

What’s the warranty?

Five years on the fiberglass, two on the structure, three on equipment — and longer on some equipment. We’ll walk through the exact coverage on our calls, once you’ve decided on upgrades. And remember: you don’t need any upgrades. The pool is complete as it comes.

Do you build bigger pools?

No. One size, 8’×20′.

Do you build one with a hot tub?

We don’t build an integrated spa.
